The Emory Bone Marrow Transplant center has performed more than 1,500 bone marrow and stem cell transplants over the past 20 years. Today, the breadth and depth of services has been expanded and includes:

  • A comprehensive range of procedures including Autologous (self) Transplant and Allogeneic (donor) Transplant, including matched unrelated, haploidential and umbilical cord blood.
  • The latest advances and innovations such as:
    • The first adult umbilical cord transplant in Georgia.
    • New technologies in graft engineering for tumor purging and T-Cell depletion.
    • One of the two facilities in Georgia to offer matched unrelated bone marrow and stem cell transplantation through the National Marrow Donor Program..
    • Innovative protocols for utilizing lymphocyte infusions for patients who have relapsed after allogeneic transplant.
  • State of the Art Facilities and Services
    • An outpatient clinic for the transplant process including a dedicated graft versus host disease outpatient clinic for long-term follow-up. 
    • Comprehensive pre-transplant orientation for patients and family members; including housing needs and psychological support.
    • On-Site stem cell collection and processing services.
    • Participation in the National Marrow donor Program and International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry/Autologous Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry.
