Diagnosing specific allergies involves testing, normally a skin prick test. In these tests, tiny amounts of suspected allergens are placed under your skin. If the skin site reacts, it is possible that you are allergic to that particular substance. In some cases, blood tests may also be done to look for antibodies to suspected allergens to confirm the diagnosis.
