How to see us, your first visit, and where we are

There are three options for scheduling an appointment with an Emory surgical oncologist:
- Contact the division's clinic office at (404) 778-3307.
- Contact the Winship Cancer Institute Call Center at (888) 946-7447 or (404) 778-1900.
- Contact Emory HealthConnection at (404) 778-7777 or (800) 75-EMORY. HealthConnection offers immediate access to information on Emory services and physicians.
A financial assessment will be performed prior to confirming an appointment. The following information will expedite the scheduling process:
- Referral from the primary care physician (if needed), as well as physician's name, address and telephone number
- Patient's name, address and telephone number; date of birth; and social security number
- Diagnosis and date of diagnosis
- Prior treatment, if any
- Insurance information
The initial visit will include an evaluation based on current symptoms or conditions and compilation of a thorough medical history. The patient should bring all medical records, radiology studies and pathology slides related to their diagnosis. In fact, it is helpful for copies of these items to be reviewed by the surgeon before the scheduled appointment, though not mandatory. If interested in this option, please call (404) 778-3307. In coordination with the referring physician, a treatment plan is developed after the initial visit based on the particular medical needs of the patient.
